Primosten is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Dalmatia. It is located 27 km south of Šibenik.

Primosten was an island that was protected from Turkish attacks by towers and a wall and connected to the mainland by a drawbridge. When the Turkish invasion ended, the bridge was replaced by an embankment, thus creating a peninsula named Primosten year 1564.
Even today, Primosten has easily noticeable features of a medieval Mediterranean settlement. In 1485., the church of St. George was built at the highest point of the island that offers a magnificent view of the Primosten archipelago .
Primošten is also known for its vineyards. Photographs of these vineyards are located in the lobby of the United Nations Building in New York City as a monument to human labor.
Nearby Primosten there are two national parks Krka and Kornati to which daily boat trips are organized. It is also possible to visit them in your own arrangement.
